More Donut Snowmen

The Snowmen that I created welcome you to my Red Couch!

Well, the powdered sugar donuts and I are getting along quite fabulously.  I have had so much fun making them that they are almost a shame to eat them.  It would be fun to make a whole snowmanscape of them. I was inspired by a posting on Family Fun's Website when I made these.

I also posted these cuties on Tuesday.  Click HERE to see the post.

  You will need the following:

Donut Holes
Small Donuts
Pretzels for Arms
Confetti Sprinkles for eyes and buttons- mine were found in a Halloween mix
Brown Jimmies for mouth
Orange Slice Candy for noses
Light Corn Syrup to glue eyes, buttons, and nose on
Yarn for scarfs
Toothpick to make hole for nose
Skewers for putting donuts together
Powdered Sugar for snow

Directions:

I bought my donuts at Wal-Mart in the bakery department.  Put donuts together with skewers; you will have to break them to fit the size of donuts.  If the skewers leave a hole in the top, then sprinkle a bit of powdered sugar to cover it.  Add eyes and buttons with the aid of corn syrup and a toothpick.   Make a hole with the toothpick for the nose.  Pull off a piece of orange slice candy and shape it into a nose.  If the candy is too sticky, roll in a bit of powdered sugar.  Dab the nose in corn syrup and then stick in nose hole.  Push brown jimmies in for mouth.  Break pretzels in half and then insert for arms.  Cut a few pieces of yarn for scarves.  The snowman in front is made with just one small donut and one donut hole.  The two in back are made with one donut and two donut holes.

Sit back and enjoy your little men!

Thanks for dropping by my Red Couch!
