I walked into Wal-Mart and could not resist these plates by Better Homes and Gardens. I do not need new Christmas salad plates, but they beckoned and I answered. I love the scene that it evokes, of times when we used to get a fresh tree. In my childhood we did have wood-paneled station wagon, not quite as cool, and we used to go cut down our trees.
I set the table with these green napkins that I bought at Wal-Mart several years ago and the napkin rings I bought from the Style Sisters.
Here's a side view of the table.
Another view of the table.
I added a little candy cane interest with these candles and...
the candy canes on the table.
Those plates ARE darling! I'd better stay out of Wal-Mart! Your table is lovely -- very festive, and yet "real," not over-the-top. Very welcoming!
ReplyDeleteThose plates are amazing! I know how they can just jump into your cart without you even knowing it! So fun!
ReplyDeleteJoni, your table is so pretty. Very welcoming. I love those plates. I looked all over for the car plates, since I just did a vintage car tablescape. I did buy the the deer plates by BH&G. I don't need any more plates either, but I love the look. You thought of everything for this table. Makes me smile too.
ReplyDeleteSo festive and the dessert looks delicious but from Santa I think you should ask for a Woodie Wagon so you can use in your Table Scape (next year) ... ☺. IF you cannot find one; you might wish to search Amazon.com as they do have a 'Revell 49 Mercury Wagon Plastic MODEL KIT' @ $24.99 (US $$$) that you could put together and paint up yourself. Before signing off; wishing you and yours A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. -Brenda-
ReplyDeleteSorry, that should have read: "Revell 49 WOODY Wagon Plastic Model Kit." -Brenda-
