Daisy Pie Crisps

On Sunday, I made little individual berry pies for the family.  While I was browsing Pinterest, my daughters -- on their own, were taking the pie scraps and made these cute little bite-sized daisies.  It reminded me of when I was a young girl making cinnamon sugar pie triangles from my mom's pie scraps.  So  I decided to make some more because they were so cute.

I used the medium Wilton Daisy Fondant Cutter.  Using pie crust was way easier to use than sugar cookie dough -- the pie crust doesn't stick on the cutter.  Obviously, the possibilities are only limited by your fondant or cookie cutter selection.

Lots of little bite-sized daisies.

Talley applied the cinnamon and sugar for me.

Lots of fun for grands and children.

Pie crust scraps were always turned into a little
extra treats in my mom's kitchen too. These are really very cute. Your daughters are talented! xo,

Brilliant - those girls should have a blog (tell them their aunt said that!) I saw these on FF, and did't know they were yours. I love them, so much, much cuter than mom's old scrappy ones. These would be lovely on top of a pie or on an ice cream sundae. Everything you do has cute written all over it.

This is such a cute idea... much better than the abnormally shaped scraps we usually bake up. I'm pinning this one!

I think I saw a pie loaded with pie crust cut-outs like that on Pinterest too. They are adorable and a wonderful idea. My grandson is not a big sweets eater yet but I bet he'd love pie crust!

Oh, how sweet they are. My oldest son helped me in the kitchen and he made pie crust "cookies" too. He hand wrote the recipe and I still have it. Such cherished times had in the kitchen!:) Thanks for linking it to Home Sweet Home!

These are so so sweet. I grew up with my mom and aunts making cinnamon sugar strips for me.
I made them for my kids and grands.
Mine were never this pretty, tho. :)))

These little bites have a real Wow factor quality to them! Add these to any dessert and you have made it so much more special. Can you see ice cream topped with a couple of these? So cute!!!!
I make little pockets filled with peanut butter or jam with leftover pie dough, but I'll be making these pretty sweet treats! I have that same fondant cutter too.
This is a spectacular recipe to have on hand!
Joni, would you add this to ON THE MENU MONDAY at StoneGable? Everyone will love it!
