Red Couch Deli Tablescape

Hi everyone and Welcome to My Red Couch and to the Red Couch Deli!  Don't forget to enter my Girard salad dressing giveaway that ends tonight!  Five lucky winners will receive 4 bottles of this premium dressing.  Click HERE to enter!

I found the idea of writing on a plate with a white board marker from the lovely Yvonne at Stone Gable who is always creating something wonderful!   I have always heard that running a deli or restaurant was a hard thing to do and today I agree!  When I set up my tablescape on my deck, I had a little problem! Just as I was about to take pictures, look what came over in the black cloud! Okay, so it's not TEXAS-sized hail, but it hurt as I tried to save a potted plant! That is hail on my deck! My husband and kids helped me to bring everything inside...and then it cleared up and I reset everything up AGAIN!

I found these cute little sandwich baskets and papers at Wal-Mart, on clearance, this year!  Today was the first time I used them and I did  feel like I was running a deli!

The white plates are from a local store, Tai Pan Trading.  The red plates are from Wal-Mart several years ago.  The red placemats are from Wal-Mart last year.  When you live in a small town like I do you appreciate having a Wal-Mart!

Once again I turned to use the Style Sisters napkin rings and paired them with bandanas!  Love the bandanas with the checked paper!  Don't you just love the color RED?

Here's a shot of our table!  I enjoyed eating out here tonight!  It's only set for four because my oldest daughter is at Girl's Camp an hour away!  Hope they didn't get the hail and rain we received!  They are in tents!

What would a Deli be without a Deli Sandwich?  Tonight we are serving a Salami Fontinella Cheese Pesto Panini with Balsamic Sweet Onion Chips!  Grab a Panini before you go!  They are devine!  I will post the recipe tomorrow.

It is alway a pleasure having you come to sit a spell on my Red Couch!  Thanks for visiting!

I am posting this with the following:

Love it Joni! I have those same baskets and an assortment of bandanas in different colors. Don't they make awesome napkins?? My kids love this kind of setting!

Such a pretty table. I saw that on Stone GAble too and you did it really well for the diner. I used my little red baskets too, but they were holding the watermelon. I loved your red papers. I hadn't seen those. We had the black cloud and winds and rain but no hail, sorry about that, what a panic, but it turned out really nicely. The sandwich looks killer can't wait. Bring it up for lunch tomorrow, I'm available.

What a cheery table scape! I love red and white on the table - the paper and bandanna go so well together.

Joni, I don't know what it is about those red baskets but eating anything out of them is always so much fun! I think I need some! And the bandana idea for napkins is great! I'm going to copy you, okay? :) Linda

I love your deli setting! This is fantastic and you are quite dedicated! Wow, even after a hail storm! Your bandana napkins look wonderful with the deli plates but your sandwichs are really calling my name. Looks delicious!

How fun! I love it when everything comes together so well. I found Tai Pan Trading on my last visit to SLC-it's great! thanks for sharing with us today.

I do love red, and I particularly like it in a tablescape. It says, "Sit down and relax". Of course, you couldn't relax until the hail storm was over. YIKES.

I think this is a really pretty table!

This is SOOO cute!! What a great idea! I feel like I run a lunch counter at my house because it seems like I'm always feeding someone at the breakfast bar. And they all order something different!

Joni, what a cute table...love all that red. I am working on an all plastic table (a challenge from my brother-in-law) for next week, wish I had thought of those deli baskets.
