Favorite Colors Table

Welcome to Red Couch Recipes and to my Red and Turquoise tablescape featuring two of my favorite colors,.  It seems these colors shouldn't go so great together, but they work so great for me  -- they make me HAPPY!

They feature one of my newest finds.  For some time now I have been looking for some reasonably priced cast iron little pots for soups, such as French  Onion Soup, or for little casseroles.  Wal-Mart was recently discouting these and I bought some.

As I was making  some other sugar cookies, I thought to make some cookies to accessorize this table.  I think you will agree that turquoise and red look great on cookies too.  I love the square cookie shape too.  Yep, when you start accessorizing your table with color-coordinated cookies, you have definitely gone bonkers.

Here's my bubbly glass view.  I like to look through life through a bubbly glass.

My husband recently brought home two lovely pots of spring bulbs.

Here's a larger view of the table.

Another view, just because it was on my camers.

Thanks for dropping by my Couch.

That particular colour combination would make me stop and dream - I love it! It makes me want to smile every time.
The sugar cookies - well, they are the perfect accompaniment. I wish the screen had a 'scratch and taste' button.

I love these colors together and want to try this combo soon! You combined them beautifully! Love the new little soup bowls, the salad plates (must look for those!), and the way you paired two napkins in the napkin rings.

It's cool that you have "gone bonkers" by coordinating your food to the tablescape! There's no turning back for you now. It's like the Mafia: One way in, one way out! :-) Beautiful, bold colors that look fabulous together! The pots are great, too!!! I need to start finding the courage to fight the crowded parking lot at Walmart to shop there! Maybe deep down inside I'm just afraid that I'll end up the subject of one of those "People of Walmart" picture galleries floating around on the Internet! :-) Have a great weekend!!!!

That's another one of those color combos that looks wonderful and makes you wonder why we never did it until pretty recently. (Like brown and blue and brown and pink.) I love it together, and those pots are cute. I didn't see a think like that at our Walmart.

Only you would accessorize a table with custom made cookies!

I think the whole thing was just lovely, and I love the way you did the napkins separate but together.
