Silver and White Winter Wonderland Tablescape

Today I am celebrating the wonderful world of winterland and snow with a Silver and White Winter Wonderland Tablescape.  I love snow!  I really do, and that is a good thing because when we get snow, it stays forever because our temperatures don't rise above freezing during the winter.  I love how snow blankets the earth during the winter!

Let's start by looking at the dinner dishes.  It's an all white showing in honor of snow!

For flatware, we will use the Damash Rose, by Oneida, sterling silver pattern.

The stack.

We will have a crisp white napkin enrobed by a pewter-colored napkin ring and an icicle tucked in the napkin ring.

At each placesetting will be a little silver snowflake candle holder.

Snowflakes grace the table in their various forms and shapes.

The centerpiece focuses on two silver snowflake hurricane lamps.

Another view here.

The snowflake glasses to the right of the photo are perfect for this table.

Just a few more favorite views.  You can see the mercury glass tree in the background of this shot.

Thank you soooo much for dropping by Red Couch Recipes to view my Silver and White Winter Wonderland Tablescape!

 Table Information

Wal-Mart:  Silver chargers, Napkin Rings, Mercury Glass Tree, Silver Snowflake Hurricane Lamps (this year on clearance)
Tai Pan Trading:  White Chargers and Salad Plates, Bubble Glasses
Dinner Plates:  Gibson
Flatware:  Damask Rose Sterling Silver -- Wedding Present
Silver Snowflake Candle Holders:  Jo Anne Fabrics (awhile ago)

I will leave you with a funny picture of the downside of snow.  This is a photo of a pile of old, dirty snow piled up in a parking lot.  I myself prefer the pristine white snow!

 Have a great day!!!

I am linking with Kathleen's Let's Dish Party where she is hosting a winter tablescape party and also with Tablescape Thursday.

What a beautiful table Joni. I love your mercury glass. The snow always looks better when it's fresh doesn't it. I hear we are in for another storm Sunday. I'm not sure where it's going to go. The sides of the driveway are piled so high now.

Its a beautiful table. I prefer the white stuff too, if you have to have it! Can't say I love it. I would rather fly somewhere to see it than live with it!!

The table is beautiful. I think the all white tables are some of my favorites. Those hurricanes are gorgeous. I might just steal them if I find them.

Thanks again for all your help yesterday. It was really a fun day and the girls were fun too!

Your table looks so cool and frosty, Joni! I love the icicles tucked in the napkin ring. I think I have the same mercury glass tree on my mantel right now. Aren't they beautiful!

Joni, there are several elements on this table that I love. From the icicles tucked in the napkin rings to the gorgeous rose flatware. I have seen the white chargers and salad plates on other blogs, but have never seen then in our stores. We don't have Tai Pan. I am a big fan of snow for winter activities! We just got an ample supply of the white stuff ;o) No dirt!

Isn't dirty snow gross??? We haven't gotten a lot of it so far this winter, so I haven't really seen the big piles like this. In fact, we didn't get much LAST winter, either! That's good for driving but bad because it's just contributing to the ongoing drought. :-( I like the way you used different snowflakes all around. They say no two are just alike, and you did a great job of capturing that snowfall feeling. The mercury glass looks great!!! I like the icicle tucked in with the napkins, too. Very clever idea! Have a wonderful week, and be careful out there in the snow!

Hello fellow snow-lover! I'm visiting from Cuisine Kathleen's and am very appreciative of your snow-themed t'scape! I love all the white and sparkly crystal mixed with the silver...so pretty, just like snow - except the picture you showed! Ha, I could take a few pics like that around here too though fortunately we are in the middle of a heavy snowfall right now and it has freshened everything up!

Wow, I can't imagine snow on the ground for so long! I'm sure it's beautiful -- well, except for the banks piled up in parking lots! Your table is so elegant and appealing -- perfect for a cold winter's day!

Joni,
I adore your white & silver tablescape!!! Oh, how I wish we had some of your SNOW!!! It is frigid cold here on the Prairie...but nothing over an inch worth this Winter season. Today, and most everyday, the Sun is brightly shining!!!
Your hurricanes are unique with their silver SNOWflakes!!! Breathtakingly beautiful!!!
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. Visiting from Susan's!!!

Hi Joni, Your sister's blog directed me to your blog. I have a new "red sofa" that reminds me of yours! Love the red, too. Your tablescape is beautiful!
Thanks, Helen

Also, following you!

You love snow? I think it is so pretty and if I can stay inside and be cozy, I'm okay with it. But, then I want it to leave quickly! I love your table...it is just perfect. The icicle is a really great touch!

The attention to detail on this table is amazing...love the little icicle tucked between the napkin ring and napkin, the snowflakes, the mercury glass and those lovely plates. I can imagine how beautiful this table is in candlelight.

Hi Joni, I love those leaf and berry white dishes. And the combination of white and silver set s the wintery mood perfectly. Unfortunately the white snow always gets yucky in the end! We are expecting more tomorrow so the dirt will be covered. Linda

Thanks for linking to the WINTER challenge at Let's Dish!

I agree about the dirty snow. Gets old pretty quick! Some years we have it till April!

Your table setting is so pristine and beautiful, Joni! What a contrast that huge pile of dirty snow is to the fluffy white fresh version:)
I see that you and your daughters got a taste of show business assisting your sister:) What fun!
