We Have Gone Batty!
As you might have noticed through the years, Zoulah is a bit batty about Halloween, and so are all the Red Couch Family, minus the Professor.
For years the Red Couch Family has lived on acreage. We would never get any Trick or Treaters. Sometimes, our friends would feel sorry for us and come over. Last year, we moved and lived on a normal street, a subdivision street, a street where kids would go Trick or Treating.
And Trick or Treating they did come. Witches, and Ninja Turtles, Spider Men, and Princesses all converged at our home. We lured them there with Halloween lights and many Jack-O-Lanterns. And Trick or Treating we did give out candy. Of course we gave out more at the beginning because we were so happy to have the little ones at our doors. And you guessed it......
WE RAN OUT OF CANDY!!!! Zoulah thought it was shameful behavior on our part. Zoulah thought it was scandalous behavior on our part. Zoulah thought it was unconscionable. This year we will be ready. This is the closet door they will see as they peer into our spooky home. The youngest Red Coucher, Talley, made these out of black cardstock. Zoulah loves the little batties.
This is the cute sign they will see.
This is the cute face they will see....
What a night it will be......
Zoulah thanks you for dropping by for a "spell!"

It will be so much fun. I think Jessica is going to go into shock because they have followed my tradition of making trick or treating a big event and now they have moved to Lindon.
I love Talley's bats. I need a bunch boing up my stairs.
I know you will be ready this year! You learn the first time this happens. We used to get ALOT of trick or treaters, now zero. Since we live in a 55 plus community...nada! But we have a party at the clubhouse that is great!
Very cute bats I must say. They add to the spookiness! Halloween can be fun for the young and old crowds. Pretty table setting with Zoulah....
Love the bats! Halloween candy is tricky business, last year I bought peanut M&Ms because we like them all year round, and my first trick or treater said she was allergic to peanuts! I felt so terrible and stupid for not thinking of that! Have fun and hope the candy doesn't run out!

What a fun post! Love the bats, I bet they were fun to make. Your sign will fit the night of Trick-or-Treating. We did the opposite. We lived in a subdivision with tons of children stopping buy, now we moved to acreage and don't get that many. Which is not as fun! So we have to go a little bit more overboard in decorating the outside!
Joni, we live on a farm and don't get many TOTers either. So they each get a bag! You will have so much fun this year!
Hugs!!

How cute! Those bats will catch everyone's eyes! How nice that now you get the trick or treaters! It's fun to hand out candy and see all the cute kids. I don't get any because of my location so I miss it. Zoulah is cute!
