Zoulah is out of retirement and ready to party in her favorite month. Last year the Red Couch Family barely celebrated Halloween with moving and their sick son, so this year she has some pent up Halloweening waiting to come out.
First of all, she wanted to show you the pumpkins and gourds that "volunteered" themselves in the Red Couch Homestead this year. The family watched with delight as they grew and grew. Gourds, bigger pumpkins and little ones all grew together. The littleist Red Coucher had put all the carved pumpkin remains in a planter box (there was no room in the trash). In the springtime they just took off. Now Zoulah is just thrilled with this harvest of pumpkins and gourds.
Zoulah will be back soon for a delicious pumpkin scone recipe, which is the best the Red Couchers have ever eaten.

I just LOVE that front pumpkin with the multi colors! What a gift from Mother Nature!!!
I'll be watching for the pumpkin scone recipe! Zoulah too.
How cute- glad Zoulah got to come out this year! That's great that you grew your own pumpkins!
So glad you were able to harvest them before you moved! They are so fun. We didn't plant any this year so I am having pumpkin envy!
Looking forward to Zoulah's posts. I bet you'll have a difficult time getting her out of that pumpkin patch.
I love all of your pumpkins, Joni! It's so fun to grow your own! Wish I had planted some this year!
Lovely collection of pumpkins. I hope life is good for you now. You and your family have been through some hurdles.
