If you would like, grab a button (see top left of my blog) and post it on your sidebar to help get out the word!

My favorite holiday movie, and close to my favorite all-time movie, starring the amazing Jimmy Stewart, is "It's A Wonderful Life."  When I was young, on Christmas Eve, after a wonderful dinner, desserts, and present openings at my Aunt Ionia's home, we would come home to watch "It's A Wonderful Life."  Watching this movie is a family tradition in our home too.  My husband, who LOVES this movie, had never seen it until we were dating and I introduced it to him at Christmas.

I have been told that it is a "goody-goodie" movie!  Well, I must love "goodie-goodie" movies!  "It's a Wonderful Life" is the story of a man, George Bailey, who had big plans in his life to travel and be educated.

George is never quite able to achieve his big dreams and when he hits bottom, he feels like his life is not worth living. Clarence, his Guardian Angel, allows George glimpses of what life would be like if George would have never been born.

Clarence, George's Gardian Angel

This movie affirms the impact that we can have, and often don't see, on the life of others.  George learns that he really did have "A Wonderful Life!"

I hope you will join me as we celebrate our "Wonderful Lives"  this holiday season.

Today's Thanksgiving Challenge

I am very thankful for all the kind people, including those on blogland, who have made my life more wonderful!  I am thankful for those who gave an extra smile, an encouraging word, and included me in their circle of friends!  I am intrigued by those friends who come in your life in a specific season and are like guardian angels.  Although Clarence may not be my "guardian angel, " I do believe that the heavens are open and there are those that are caring for us and watching over us.

I would love to take a button so I can remember to come back. I am not sure how to take your button. Normally there is a html box under it.

Hi Joni, I would like to join your Thanksgiving challenge, and as soon as I figure out how to take your button I will put it on my blog! I had never seen this movie until I met my husband, and he had never seen Rudolph or the Grinch! Now we watch them all, along with a few others, every year! Can't wait until it's time again! Linda

Hi everyone -- it's me that couldn't figure out how to do a button with a scroll box (HTML language) underneath. I will keep trying. You can add it as a gadget. First save the button as a picture then copy the permalink (the address up at the top of the page, then go to design, then add a gadget, then go to picture. Add the picture that you have saved, then add the link and any text. I hope to be able to figure out a scroll box in the next couple of weeks. Joni

I already have you on my sidebar!

IT IS A WONDERFUL LIFE ISN'T IT?!!!
I love this idea. I can't wait to share Christmas ideas. I know there are angels watching over us, always and I am sure a lot more than we are aware.

This is such a wonderful movie. I love everyone in it. It is such a good holiday tradition. May we all be more like George and Mary this holiday season and every day.

Luv ya!

This is a great blog! I'm really enjoying it. I came across your blog by way of "the kitchen" then "Munchin Muchies" talking about the giant sugar cookie that looks like a pumpkin pie. I want to link to the movie but I'm not sure how to do it. Anyway, I'm a follower and enjoy you blog!
