The First Noel

.

My Bath and Body Works Giveaway ends on Sunday.  Click HERE to enter.

I wish you a Merry Christmas!  I want to share with you my Nativity tree on this Christmas Eve.  Years ago when I thought that my children thought Christmas was "all about Santa," I decided to make a statement with my tree.  I changed it from a traditional tree to a tree that was about the real meaning of Christmas.  Yes, I do have Santas and nutcrackers, but I wanted my tree -- one of the most visible decorations of Christmas -- to reflect the real meaning of Christmas.   Every year I add a little -- but it really doesn't change from year to year.

"The first Noel,

"The angel did say"

"Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay..."

"They looked up and saw a star..."

"Shining in the East beyond them far..."

"Born is the King of Israel..."

I want to wish you the Merriest Christmas!

I love that you focus on the real meaning of Christmas. What a beautiful tree and what a beautiful gift to give your children. to teach them about things of the spirit. Merry Christmas, Joni.

Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas. I love your tree and its message. The white candy canes are so nice to represent the shepherds. I love the big NOEL too. May the true meaning of Christmas be with you throughout the year. We just finished Scrooge with George C. Scott and it really makes you stop and think, it is wonderful to keep that spirit with us.
