Green Jell-O Popcorn Pops

Make some GREEN Jell-O Popcorn Pops for St. Patrick's Day.  They are delicious and whip up in minutes and sure to please all the : "Little Leprechauns" in your life.
Recipe for Jell-O Popcorn Pops

1 cup light corn syrup

1/2 cup sugar

1 small box, Lime Jell-O

3-4 quarts popped popcorn

Put syrup and sugar in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for one minute. Do not boil longer. Remove from heat and stir in Jell-O. Butter your hands a bit and pour over popcorn and make into balls. The balls should be between the size of golf balls and tennis balls. Push stick through the center and enjoy! I acquired this recipe from my mother-in-law Geniel.  Note:  If you prefer a more gooey, sticky.  popcorn ball, use less popcorn.

Make some today!  Thanks for stopping by my Red Couch.

My birthday is on Christmas Day. When I was still in school, my Mom and I made this Jello popcorn ball recipe and formed it in funnels. Then I decorated it with Red Hots candys to make Christmas trees. We wrapped them in cellphane and I took them to school for my birthday treat. I never, ever, thought to make them for St. Patrick's day. Go figure.

Joni- What a great idea! I know that my little guy would love to have one of these, and I guess that you could do this with any flavor of jello. Thanks. I will definitely be keeping this recipe.

Well, shucks. I wish that I had seen this before 10:00 PM. I was trying to think of something creative to bring my students tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day. (I only teach on Monday and Tuesday). This would have been so fun.

I'm not a fan of lime jello, but this may be the best use of it yet! Blue ones would be cool too!
