Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

"One fish, two fish, RED fish, blue fish. Hey, who ate all the blue fish?"  Born on March 2, 1904, Dr. Seuss has enabled beginning readers to flourish by reading his clever books.  I have fond memories of reading his books to and with my young children.  Favorites included "Green Eggs and Ham," and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish."  Who can forget the "Cat in the Hat?" It was fun reading this because we had such angst when the Cat in the Hat was making a mess and such relief when he cleaned it up just in the nick of time!   As a child, my favorite Seuss book was "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins."  What's your favorite?

My daughter, third grade, left for school with Dr. Suess books in her backpack.  They are having some sort of birthday celebration in her class today.  As for us?  We may celebrate his birthday by eating a few red fish....and NO blue fish because there were NONE in the package!  Can you believe it?

Should contain the following warning:  "No blue fish inside!"
