Merry and Jolly Snowman Table

Welcome to my Merry and Jolly Snowman Table.

After the hustle and the bustle of the holidays, thank goodness for Merry and Jolly Snowman to help brighten our January days.  I am a huge fan of snowmen!  They just are so happy and fun.  Did you ever wonder who started making snowmen?  I guess it's a case of when you are served lemons, make lemonade!  We have a ton of snow that is not going away anywhere soon.  How about you?  We were out of town when the storm hit, and I was so sad to not be able to watch the flakes come down.  I love a good snow storm, especially if there are huge flakes.

I am posting this to Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday, where the letter of the week is "M" for Merry and Jolly Snowman and to Susan's Tablescape Thursday.

I want to thank Linda at More Fun Less Laundry for the fun Snowman Star Ornament giveaway that I received right before Christmas.  This little guy is even cuter in person -- he will look so perfect on my "traditional tree."

I also want to thank my sister, Purple Chocolat Home for this festive apron "giveaway" she made for me -- that's what she called it!   Don't you just want to step into the apron fabric?  The candy cane fabric is just so shimmery and beautiful; my picture doesn't do it justice.  I needed her daughter Jessica to model it for me.

What fun things to receive right before Christmas.

This is the individual placesetting.  I found the salad/dessert plates at Wal-Mart after Christmas.

I just love these HUGE napkins that I found at Target at this year's  after Christmas sale.

The cookie jar is labled "Jolly Ol' Snowy" by Tracy Porter.  It was a find years ago at Target.

I love the squirrel on a backside.

Inspired by Sherry's lanterns at The Charm of Home, I am showcasing my snowman bell in my red landern.

I have enjoyed making snowman donuts.  So fun and easy!  I am doing another post on them tomorrow.  Look's like this little fellow got his buttons messed up a bit.

Thanks for dropping by my Red Couch!

I love it all Joni. I never thought of using the snow man theme except for Christmas, but it certainly is appropriate for this time of year isn't it? Thanks for such a great idea. Oh, and I would love to come and sit on your red couch while you whip up some delish recipes. That sounds great!

What a fun snowman table. I especially love the little guy in the lantern and of course the cookie jar and the little edible snowmen. I bet they didn't last long. The red glasses and chargers really set it off.
Hope the snow on your table is your only snow!

I love the place settings, they are put together just so wonderfuly.
The warm colors make this wintery but not icy cold!

I set a white table today, and I almost couldn't do it. I love color. And your table is one I would be thrilled to sit down to!

All the snowmen are still out and about here at HFTS. We could arrange a play date. LOL
Your table looks darling. Great after Christmas finds. I didn't come home with anything the day after. Guess I didn't make the right stops.
Love that snowman cookie jar! ~ Sarah

Joni,
I just love your Merry and Bright snowman tablescape! The snowmen donuts are adorable! Thanks for the mention with your lantern. It looks great with the snowman bell in it. I love that apron too. I bought some fabric like that before Christmas and tried to make a Cmas sock and the seam tore. It was way more delicate than it looked. You really won the giveaways! It was Christmas in blogland for sure! LOL

You're right - there's something so very special about a snowman - who can help smiling at a face with a carrot for a nose?!

I could kick myself for not grabbing some of those plates at Wal-mart when they were marked down!

Love the cookie jar! What a great idea to put your snowman in a lantern. Great Table do you leave it up all during Jan? Is the main table you eat at or is more for decoration. Love your blog

How adorable your little snow guys are! Our snow has all gone away now -- but they're mumbling something about another storm brewing for Tuesday.

So festive! We've lost most of our snow, but it's back again. Maybe there's a snowman in my yard's future.

Joni! What a magnificently fun link to Alphabe-Thursday's letter "M".

I love snowmen in January, too, although this year I took mine down early and now I'm regretting it.

Loved the apron and all your finds, too!

Thanks for linking and thanks for the smile!

What a happy stop today!
