Dear Red Couch Readers, Zoulah opens this post with an apology for being absent during "her season": Zoulah has not been feeling well, but she is getting better and is excited to end the Halloween season with some fun posts. She hopes you will forgive her for her absence.
Today's post was inspired by a little bit of this and a little bit of that as Zoulah went out shopping
The skeleton cookie cutters were spied at Wal-Mart with Zoulah's keen eye. They are $1.47 and are still available at our Wal-Mart. Today Zoulah is using them as decorations. She has also made fondant cut-outs with them, but not cookies.
Oops Zoulah needs to do a little napkin arranging before the guests all arrive at the Crossbones. Psst....can you see the writing on the bandana?
Zoulah flew upon this little table runner on discount at Michael's.
This old visitor at the Crossbones Inn has really seen some better days, but all are welcome at the Inn.
Zoulah always loves a glass view.
At the Crossbones Inn Zoulah would naturally set the table with skull straws.
Of course, the table would be lacking without a pumpkin or two.
In the center of the table is a jar full of skulls -- what would you expect at the Crossbones?
Wasn't it nice of the Dollar Store to have a sign waiting for us to buy? Zoulah saw this sign and eeked: They are such copycats!"
Here's a larger view of the Crossbones table. Please take a seat.
Even the pumpkins like to dress up at the Crossbones.
The favorite dessert at the Crossbones Inn is the Skull Medallion Cake.
All the old bones would like you to take a piece of the cake.
Zoulah is pleased you could drop by for a peak of our "Crossbones Inn Table."
You might not know that Zoulah as a twin sister names Beaulah. She is the kitchen witch of Jacqueline, Purple Chocolat Home. Stop by and see what magical treats she is cooking up
Which witch is which? Well, they kind of fight about the legs...so I am not revealing which witch is witch.

Joni, You sure do know how to have fun at Halloween. Your blog is so professional. Now, we started at the same time and look how many followers you have to how many I have!!!!
It was soo good to hear from you. Thank you for your sweet comment. Made my day!
You are always doing something fabulous.
Hey there, Joni! Glad to see Miss Zoulah back on the blog circuit!!! She has been missed! :-)
You did a really great job with those fondant cutouts!!! That's such a neat way to give a 3-D look to a cake!
LOVE those skull straws!!! I hope I can find some of those around here! I'd use them year round because I'm weird like that! :-)
Great Halloween table, Joni! Enjoy your weekend!
Your Halloween tables are always such fun, Joni! I love to hear what Zoulah is up to with her antics. The cake turned out great and your decorations are wonderful.
Gorgeous! Love it all...great theme.
Sorry to hear Zoulah is under the weather, probably because she is the orange legged witch! Ha ha ha ha (do that with a wicked witch laugh!!) I love your table and your cake. I am sure some kiddies thought it was pretty fun too. That black frosting on the cake looks wonderful and so do the medallions. This is a spooky fun table!
Sorry to hear the chefs have been feeling badly. Hope all is good now. This is a darling themed table. You need to get some of the bone sprinkles. Thanks for the heads up about the cute cookie cutter. I'm going to see if I can still find it.
I am having such a great time visiting your blog and viewing your seasonal decor and goodies.
There are several online blog parties this weekend and I hope you join in.
Links and details are posted on my blog.
