A warm Christmas Welcome to my Poinsettia Sparkle Tablescape which I will be linking to Beth's Poinsettia Party, it begins on the 5th, and to Susan's Tablescape Thursday. There is nothing that says holiday more than a poinsettia. They can bring cheer to the darkest corner of a home during the holiday season.
The poinsettia dishware and glasses are the stars of this table.
My mother-in-law Geniel bought the Poinsettia plates for us over 20 years ago. I was newly married and it was so fun to have Christmas plates. The plates and glasses were made by Block Spal in Portugal.
The plates and glasses are the "Poinsettia" pattern designed by Mary Lou Goertzen in 1982. The dishes have been retired for several years.
I love the artwork on the glasses.
For the centerpiece I filled this trifle bowl with red Christmas balls.
I flanked the trifle bowl with candlesticks.
The white napkin rings, Style Sisters of course, have a silk poinsettia tucked in.
Since red is my favorite color, I am sure I will be using this table again in the holiday season.
I love the look of the clear glass and the red together.
A long view of the table.
What would a Poinsettia table be without a live Poinsettia?

Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that I gave your blog an award: http://www.polishthestars.com/2010/12/blog-post.html :)
Joni, Your table looks gorgeous! I love the plates as well as the red glassware. Your ornaments look stunning in the bowl - does Wolfie ever try to fish them out of the bowl to play with? The red and white and clear and silver all look awesome together. Thanks for participating in the poinsettia party that begins this weekend.
Hugs, Beth
