I LOVE snow and I love the month of January when it snows a lot! I love watching the snowflakes come down! I am like Gabe, In the Details, who around Christmas wrote that she would like to get snowed in! If I were lucky enough to be snowed in, could I please be staying in Donna's home, Conghaile Cottage; her home is a veritable enchanted snow cottage in the winter.
Welcome to Tablescape Thursday and to my Snow Tablescape at Red Couch Recipes. We received a lot of snow right after Christmas, but I would love to have a fresh blanketing of snow so...

"Snow, Snow When Are You Falling?
Snow, Snow
None of your stalling!
Autumn's gone
And Winter's Here,
It's Just About that Time of Year...
You Know,
For a Beautiful Snow,
Come on and Snow, Snow Beautiful, Wonderful Snow!
The song was just in my head, from my childhood, when I was putting together this tablescape...and wishing for SNOW!
Tablescape Information
Most of the items on this tablescape were purchased about 10 years ago when the color of snowmen were light blue -- I fell for this in a big way. How about you -- do you remember this?
Table Runners: Ross -- several years ago
Silver Chargers: Wal-Mart or Target -- several years ago
Dinner Plates -- Sakura plated in the Snowflake pattern designed by Debbie Mumm -- Target about ten years ago
Snowman Salad Plates -- Harmon's Grocery Stores several years ago
Napkin Rings and Napkins: Wal-Mart -- this past summer
Bubble Glasses -- Tai Pan Trading
Silverware: Damask Rose Pattern -- wedding present
Snowman Drink Dispenser -- Target, about 10 years ago
Silver Tree -- Wal-Mart about five years ago
Apothecary Jar -- Tai Pan Trading
Snowflake Candleholders -- JoAnne's -- years ago
Thank you for dropping by and wishing for SNOW at Red Couch Recipes!
Maybe I will just have to be content with the snow falling on my blog...

I love snowmen and I love this one a bunch! Very pretty table my dear, very pretty! :D
Such a cute table. Lots of snow turned ice here! That snowman is really cute.
I am going to be very happy with just snow on your blog. I have had enough for one year already!
What a darling table. That snowman drink dispenser is absolutely adorable. I might have to steal him! Everything looks so cute, you almost make snow sound fun, until you have to drive in it. But I agree, I want to get snowed in at Donna's - let's go there and visit her, I want to see it in person.
Bet the fam felt special at this darling table. Have a wonderful time visiting all the tables tonight!
Hi Joni! Your table looks great. I hope you get the snow storm you are hoping for.
I do remember when the snowmen were light blue, and I still love that color today. Your tablescape is perfect for this time of year. My husband is a teacher and had a SNOW DAY today and was just as excited as his students :-) Can I also join you at Donna's home? I have emailed Donna in the past to let her know how much we love the style of her home.
Lovin' this cute table Joni! The drink dispenser looks like he would giggle as you poured a drink! I know the kids enjoyed this one:@)
Beautiful!!
Happy Snow! Oh, Joni... I too LOVE snow! And I love your table tribute to the sparkly white fun stuff! YOur color combination is happy and sassy and warm, even though it protrays a wintery scene. I am going to look for some fun snowy plates and snowmen. Everything works so beautifully together.
Brrrrrr! It's cold outside! But your table is cozy!

I'm a snow-lover too and enjoyed your tablescape and little song - sorry don't know it. I sure wish I had your blue/white snowflake plates for the tablescape I did this week. Love that snowman dispenser as a centerpiece!

I DO remember the blue themed snowmen. I liked it then, and I like it now. I actually love it because it's so January~ish.
Your table is so pretty and fun. I just love that big centerpiece. And I agree with you about wanting to be snowbound in Conghaile Cottage. Donna would be good company too!
Joni, this is a super cute table! I love the colors, and I am wildl in love with your china. SO cute!
Happy Tablescape Thursday...
XO,
Sheila :-)
It's refreshing to hear someone rejoicing about the snow! There has been SO much of it in some areas (we got 6" here Monday), and all I've heard is griping. I understand the griping, too, but it's nice to know someone is enjoying it. Since I don't have to drive in it, I'm kind of enjoying it, too! Have a great week!
Joni -- this is so darling -- love that little snowman drink dispenser. How cute!
I did a snowman table last week. Here is the link if you want to come see it! http://designsbypinky.blogspot.com/2011/01/chilly-change.html I love your snowy table!!!! We DO have snow, got about 5 inches last night. I am in Pa. Where do you live???? XO, Pinky
So cute. I really love the snow flakes in the glasses. Such a clever way to emphasize the snow.
After readng blogs from all over the country...where most of us have snow...I've decided you either love it or hate it! You obviously fall into the first category and I tend to lean more towards the latter. I think it is pretty, but I find it makes me feel too closed in.
I do love your table. The drink dispenser is great. I've never seen one like that!
I love that my children had a snow day today. I love having them around and I love the SNOW! I love your table, it captures the day!
I'd love to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays.

Here in Texas snow has been on the ground for three days. It is cold and the I think it will be here a few more days. Your table is great, I knew I should have bought that drink dispenser.

Joni, thanks so much for you thoughtful and insightful comment. . .I have quite a long to do list, projects that I have been putting off all fall and now all I want to do is curl up with a good book in front of the fire!
Luckily this too will pass!
That is such a lovely wintery scene. Just great.
Such a pretty and refreshing table! I viewed yours right after Kathleen's Snow Mam table, and together they make a perfect pair! I hope you get your wish to be snowed in!
Love the snowflakes, the blue, and the snowmen. Such a cute tablescape, Joni! The snowman drink dispenser is my favorite feature:) Sorry I can't help you with the song. Trying to remember something on the "tip of my brain" can make me go a little bonkers:)
How pretty! Love the blue and white snow peeps. Such cute plates.
Yes, I vote no on snow, but so far my vote hasn't counted!
Oh yes, I do remember the light blue snow man phase. I still have several. I use one in the guest bathroom because he fits perfectly.
Your tablescape, per usual, is fantastic!
Aren't you just the cutest!!! Love that table scape!!!
I am not missing the snow as of yet but coming from Buffalo and now living in Houston I am sure I will miss it next year!
I collect snowmen....and love your snowy table. Just perfect for a cold January evening. It makes me want to go cook a huge pot of soup! Happy snow hunting!
This is absolutely adorable. I can't wait to be closer to our grandchildren so I can do more of this kind of thing. I have given you a little award, so come on over and check it out.
